But the Führer may have had the intuition, but he was not the author of the victorious and unprecedented campaign plan.

Hitler was certainly a war leader. But his pride and his mortifying ideology blinded him. In the course of the conflict, the self-proclaimed strategist turned out to be an amateur whose mistakes plunged Germany into the abyss of disaster.
